Lili Vincent was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the 2nd of 4 kids, raised by their single dad. She graduated from Overton High school for the Creative and Performing Arts. After High school she attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She started as a communications major but it was in those first couple of communications classes where she fell in love with writing. In her senior year she had a short story selected and published in the university’s literary journal, The Phoenix. While in college, Lili was a member of Alpha Phi Omega- National Service Fraternity and was a coxswain for the University of Tennessee Rowing Team. Lili studied abroad in Normandy, France in 2001 and then In 2002 she graduated as an English major with a focus in Rhetoric & Writing.

She married her college sweetheart in 2005 and after 9 years away with stops in Memphis, Tennessee, Baltimore, Maryland, and Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2014 Lili, her husband, and their 3 daughters returned to Knoxville. They adopted a puppy, a couple of cats, and a flock of chickens.

Today Lili and her family live on a small hobby farm in West Knoxville. On most days before 6 in the morning and after 8 in the evening she can be found writing, but during the day her sunny office is used for homeschooling their daughters, overseeing piano practice, and occasionally an early afternoon nap.
